Biography

Dr. Joy Omolola Oyeniran is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Educational Foundations and Curriculum Studies, Faculty of Specialised and Professional Education, Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo, Nigeria. She is an experienced scholar in Mathematics Education with over fifteen years of teaching, research, and professional service in higher education. She earned her Nigerian Certificate in Education (Mathematics/Physics), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Educational Management and Mathematics (2005), Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Mathematics Education (2010), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics Education (2025) from the University of Ibadan. She is also a registered member of the Teacher Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) and a Member of the Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN).

Since joining Emmanuel Alayande University of Education in 2010, Dr. Oyeniran has built a distinguished career marked by excellence in teaching, research, and academic leadership. She has taught a wide range of undergraduate courses in Mathematics and Mathematics Education while mentoring students and contributing to curriculum development. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes critical thinking, innovation, and the practical application of mathematics to address educational and societal challenges.

Dr. Oyeniran's research focuses on Mathematics Education, particularly curriculum implementation, innovative teaching strategies, game-based learning, educational technology, teacher education, Artificial Intelligence in Education, indigenous knowledge systems, and sustainable educational development. Her work is driven by a commitment to improving mathematics teaching and learning through research-informed practices that enhance learners' achievement, motivation, creativity, and employability.

She has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and conference papers published in reputable national and international outlets. Her recent research explores the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital technologies in mathematics education, with particular attention to their potential to improve instructional practice, strengthen graduate employability, and support sustainable educational development. She regularly presents her research at national and international conferences, contributing to scholarly dialogue and the advancement of Mathematics Education.

In addition to her academic responsibilities, Dr. Oyeniran is actively involved in professional service, community engagement, and academic mentorship. Through her scholarship, teaching, and service, she continues to contribute to the advancement of Mathematics Education and to the preparation of future educators equipped to meet the evolving demands of twenty-first-century education.
